After being shut down for a year due to the COVID pandemic, it was our hope and expectation that there would be a renewed interest from enough families in the community to return to the program and enable it to run. Unfortunately we find ourselves in the position to realize that at this moment, there is not. It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you dance classes will not be held this year.
Our enrollment has not reached a level that would allow us to financially sustain the program. We understand this is a great disappointment and inconvenience to you. We have exhausted all efforts to find solutions that would prevent cancelling classes. We have cut expenses and costs where we could, but as a program that is already run by unpaid volunteers, there was not much left to cut. We have always focused on running an affordable, cost-effective program. Our hope was that as the summer comes to an end and the school year approached, more families would focus on fall activities and we would see an increase in enrollment. At this time we think it's only fair to make the decision to cancel classes and give you time to find other opportunities for your children.
We and all of our teachers are deeply saddened by this outcome, our own children have been WICA dancers since pre-school and feel devastated. COVID has had an impact on so many businesses and so many lives, our program included. We hope and pray that you and your families understand that we did the best that we could.
In the coming weeks we will be issuing you a full refund for all tuition and fees you have paid. Refunds will be processed to the credit card you have on file with us. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Our entire staff and team wishes you the very best.
